6:12 pm - Right to Die

I'm not new to LJ, but am new to this comm! So glad I found you. Finally, some people who won't think I'm a freak when I say that humanity is a blight that needs to be wiped out.

Anyway. Why do I not want children?

Sequim woman first known assisted-suicide patient in state
A 66-year-old Sequim woman diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer is the first known person to use the state's assisted-suicide law.

Linda Fleming ingested a lethal dose of medication Thursday night with her family, dog, and her physician by her bedside, a patient-advocacy group reported Friday.

We already have enough children in this world. Why don't more people adopt?

8:28 am - You know what Africa needs? More people!

Budget fertility treatments planned for Africa
Doctors are getting ready to introduce a cheap in vitro fertilization procedure across Africa, where women are sometimes ostracized as witches or social outcasts if they cannot have children.

Sembuya Rita, an infertility activist from Uganda, said it was essential for public health officials to address the issue. "It's a fundamental right for every person to have a child," she said. Rita said infertile women in Africa can face particular economic hardships — their husbands may leave them for other women and they can be cut out of family inheritances.
I hope you all are as sickened by this bullshit as I am.

10:59 pm - New Addition

Well, I'm new. I saw this community after some searching, and joined immediately.
As to the subjects in the profile of this community, I agree most with these two:
-Concern for the future of the planet and life it contains
-Sheer disgust with humanity
As well as the obvious absence of a desire for motherhood, of course.

As a sidenote, I'm sure everyone here is familiar with the famous rat overpopulation experiment, which showed the effects of overpopulation on rats as a model for humanity. With this in mind, whenever I look out at the view of sprawling metropolis and human swarm visible from Flinders Street Train Station here in Melbourne, I think of this:

That is all.
"The line between patriotism and fascism is often blurred."

8:55 pm - The overpopulation paradox
fine_clarity A person that is even somewhat sane recognizes that there is an overpopulation problem that is consuming all of the world's farmable land, wood, fish, and other resources. The intuitive reaction to that, which is the typical reaction, is to not make any offspring, or at least to make no more than 1 or 2 offspring, so as to supposedly not contribute to the problem.

7:48 pm - hello!

so i just stumbled across this community... i'm thrilled to have finally found a group of people who agree with me!!
i'm so sick of people responding to my comments about not wanting kids with, 'oh you'll change your mind' or 'i used to say that too' (<-- as they try desperately to keep their seven children out of the road/away from the cliff/from causing total havoc/etc.)

not to mention the looks i get when i argue that sometimes maintaining 'life' is unethical and that if humans have a right to live, then they should damn well have a right to die as well.
yeah, so huge relief to have found somewhere to vent/rant and discuss!!

After being in denial for 1 1/2 months I finally decided I needed to take action, tomorrow I get to hopefully get the abortion appointment. FUCK.

Edit: The appointment is set up for friday at 1pm XD GIANT LOAD OFF MY MIND. Ooh! And the best part is, the clinic gives you IV sedation for the abortion :D I'll update you guys in two days. If luck's on my side, I'll even have pictures ;)

8:15 pm - Finally, someone is using their brain.

Euthanase disabled babies, say doctors

One of Britain's leading medical colleges is calling on the health profession to consider permitting the euthanasia of seriously disabled newborn babies.

The proposal by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecology is a response to the number of such children surviving because of medical advances.

The college is arguing that "active euthanasia" should be considered for the overall good of families, and to to spare parents the emotional burden and financial hardship of bringing up the hardest-hit babies.

"A very disabled child can mean a disabled family," the doctors say.

"If life-shortening and deliberate interventions to kill infants were available, they might have an impact on obstetric decision-making, even preventing some late abortions, as some parents would be more confident about continuing a pregnancy and taking a risk on outcome."

Geneticists and medical ethicists supported the proposal - as did the mother of a severely disabled child - but a prominent children's doctor described it as social engineering.

12:57 am - BEST group ever!

I'm glad I stumbled into this group. I cannot stand pro-baby humans. although I love baby animals. I think i'm still drunk.

i used to work as a waitress and this one time someones fucking baby threw up everywhere and I refused to clean it up. That wasn't part of my fucking job. Plus they didn't pay for their food and left a huge mess PLUS the puke and no tip. I seriously hate people that think you should let them cut in line because they are pregnant. I gotta pee too bitch! Just because you had unprotected sex doesnt make you and your parasite more important. I'll piss all over the toliet paper for you.

I'm gonna go drink some more. Goooodnight

8:19 pm - Hi I'm new, but I had to post this because it pisses me off like none other.

An Indiana mother recently accompanied her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend to one of Indiana's Planned Parenthood clinics, but they unwittingly walked into a so-called "crisis pregnancy center" run by an anti-abortion group, one that shared a parking lot with the real Planned Parenthood clinic and was designed expressly to lure Planned Parenthood patients and deceive them.

The group took down the girl's confidential personal information and told her to come back for her appointment, which they said would be in their "other office" (the real Planned Parenthood office nearby). When she arrived for her appointment, not only did the Planned Parenthood staff have no record of her, but the police were there. The "crisis pregnancy center" had called them, claiming that a minor was being forced to have an abortion against her will.

The "crisis pregnancy center" staff then proceeded to wage a campaign of intimidation and harassment over the following days, showing up at the girl's home and calling her father's workplace. Our clinic director reports that the girl was "scared to death to leave her house." They even went to her school and urged classmates to pressure her not to have an abortion.

The anti-choice movement is setting up these "crisis pregnancy centers" across the country. Some of them have neutral-sounding names and run ads that falsely promise the full range of reproductive health services, but they dispense anti-choice propaganda and intimidation instead. And according to a recent article in The New York Times, there are currently more of these centers in the U.S. than there are actual abortion providers. What's more, these centers have received $60 million in government grants. They're being funded by our tax dollars.

A bill has just been introduced in Congress to stop the fraudulent practices of fake clinics, but it desperately needs more support. Tell your representative to take a stand: anti-choice extremists must not get away with this any longer!

1:02 am - Pro-Death = REAL Pro-Life

In the words of Frank Herbert:

"Its ["it" being Life] aim is simple: to maintain and produce coordinated patterns of greater and greater diversity. Life improves the closed system’s capacity to sustain life. Life - all life - is in the service of life. Necessary nutrients are made available to life by life in greater and greater richness as the diversity of life increases."

It amazes me that the majority of people view evolution as a process whose aim is to create "better" species, and that we are the "best" and therefore entitled to do whatever we please with the Earth. The *true* aim of evolution is to create MORE species, not better ones. Biological diversity is the purpose of life, because a diverse ecosystem (and, by extension, a diverse planet) is more able to adapt to change and survive.

The human species has already destroyed one third of the other species on Earth by even the most conservative estimates. I mean, approximately 90% of biodiversity exists on land, so the appropriation of 40% of the land on this planet by the human species is a clear indication of just how bad things really are.

Anyway, my point at last: If the aim of life is the evolution of diversity, and modern humans are destroying that diversity at such a catastrophic rate, then to be anti-human, to be pro-(human)death, is actually to be *truly* pro-life.

infinite_dragon I wonder what would happen if every state had a vote on whether abortion should be legal or not, BUT they only let women vote on the subject and they let underage girls who have started puberty vote on the matter. I wonder what the outcome would be. LOL.
